Cornerstone Therapeutic Horsemanship
Where Healing Begins with a Horse
We are honored you are here. We believe healing is not something that happens in isolation- it happens in relationship. Through equine-assisted psychotherapy and experiential services, we create meaningful opportunities for children, teens, adults and families to grow in confidence, emotional awareness, and resilience.
Our work is grounded in clinical integrity and trauma-informed care, while also embracing the profound wisdom and presence of horses. Horses offer immediate, honest feedback and invite authenticity, regulation, and connection in ways traditional settings often cannot. In partnership with our herd, clients engage in experiential learning that fosters self-discovery, strengthens relationships and builds lasting change.
Whether you are seeking support for anxiety, trauma, behavioral challenges, life transitions, or personal growth, Cornerstone provides a safe, supportive environment where healing can unfold naturally and at your own pace.
Here, growth is experiential. Connection is foundational. And healing begins from the ground up.

Contact Me
I have spent my life teaching, advocating, and supporting youth with various challenges. I have not only been a foster parent, but also an adoptive parent of a son with special needs. I taught in self-contained special education classrooms for 23 years, achieving honors in and out of the classroom, including being a National Board-Certified teacher for over 15 years. I achieved the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International certification in 2014 and have contracted out at a local riding therapeutic center for 6 years. I achieved my Masters of Social Work in 2020. I was credentialed as a LCSW in 2022. I worked at a special school for students with severe physical and cognitive needs as a school social worker for 3 years before leaving to open Cornerstone Therapeutic Horsemanship. All of my life experiences led to me see the power of using horses to reach youth and work towards meaningful change.
