Do you believe in miracles?
When I hear that question, I hear ….
However, let's talk about miracles. Some people don’t believe in them. A miracle is defined as “a highly improbable or extraordinary event, development, or accomplishment that brings very welcome consequences”.
Someone might say a miracle must be big! Some examples of this are an illness or medical problem that is gone unexplainably, or a pregnancy when doctors said it wasn’t possible, or maybe winning the lottery. While, yes, these things are miracles- I think when you classify a miracle as something big—you miss many miracles. Everyday miracles.
Here are some of the miracles that I get to see every day….
*a butterfly fluttering around a child’s head
*a horse reaching around and “hugging” a child’s body
*a nonverbal child speaking while horseback
*the sun beaming down on a child just right
*an angry child beaming while riding and forgetting to be mad anymore
*an adult with autism helping a young child ride horses
*siblings that normally fight but working together in the barn to groom a horse
*a child with anxiety breathing deeply and smiling
*a horse walking as if on eggshells for one rider, and then like a fiery dragon for the next
I am blessed to own and operate Cornerstone. It would be easy to miss the “miracles” I am gifted with every day. I am grateful that all of my life experiences have led me to look for the little miracles in each day. I’d love for you all to join me—whether through volunteering, participating in sessions, or referring others. Come see the miracles!
